Smokn’ Creek Pudelpointers is located smack dab in the middle of the United States. We are seven and a half miles southwest of Russell, Kansas. Our kennel is in a location that has access to numerous acres of hunting and training land for both upland and waterfowl.

Our history with hunting dogs started with labs. After losing our beloved hunting companion (Duke) to old age, we decided to look for a more versatile dog that would do great not only in the field for pheasants and quail but could be relied upon when waterfowl hunting. After some extensive research we concluded that the pudelpointer breed stood out among the numerous breeds out there. We were fortunate to get on a list and purchase our first pudelpointer pup.

With the ownership of a versatile breed came our involvement in NAVHDA. That probably hooked our family as much as the breed itself did. Not only being able to meet and learn from a variety of dog trainers but just seeing what our dogs can do is priceless. We enjoy hunting and training our dogs which lead us to become  a family run kennel that breeds pudelpointers. Our dogs are all registered with NAVHDA and have been tested and proven.

Our goal is to provide families with lifetime hunting partners. We strive to do our part in keeping the integrity of the breed and to assure those who purchase our pups will have a family member for the lifetime of the dog.
